SIMPLY GRAMMATICAL🤗

SIMPLY GRAMMATICAL🤗:

Welcome to Simply Grammatical -4!
We were discussing Present Progressive Tense right?
Examples of Present Continuous or Progressive Tense :
1)Sizuka is baking a cake .🎂
2)Giyan is beating Nobita.🤣
3)Dengi Suki is doing his homework.📖
4)I am writing  an educational blog.📜
5)They are playing Cricket.🏏
6)The birds are flying .🕊🕊🕊🕊
Can you spot one intransitive Verb from the above examples ?
                                     ?? ............????🤔
Yes, in the last example 'flying' has been used as an intransitive Verb.
Can you tell me an instance where 'flying ' can be used as a transitive Verb?😇
Yeah...You have to add an object ,
Let me tell you "The boy is flying a kite."
Now ,what's the format of Present Continuous Tense?
Sub+is /am/are+ V1+ing(*Whenever you see '-ing' with a Verb you can conclude immediately that it is one of the Continuous /Progressive Tenses)
The examples 1to 5 contain transitive Verbs hence they will have their Passive couplets:
1)A cake is being baked by Sizuka .
2)Nobita  is being beaten by Giyan.
3)His homework is being done by Dengi Suki .
4)An educational blog is being written by me.
5)Cricket is being played by them.
Format: Object+is/am/are being +V1 +ing
* As discussed earlier in Passive Voice all the Verbs are in third form .
bake- baked-baked;beat-beat- beaten ;do-did-done;write-wrote-written;play-played-played.
